Right on, great podcast. Thank you for learning and sharing the best truth you can too. Please see/share our research from Professor Graeme MacQueen, Amber Quitno, Captain Rob Balsamo, Captain Dan Hanley, Professor Tony Martin, Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, and others and help us improve it if you can. Thank you!
Hi Nicola - sorry I didn't see this sooner! I appreciate you listening. Would love to hear what you think as it was my first podcast. A bit nervous but I did have a great time simultaneously.
Dr. Bronce Rice, I absolutely enjoyed listening you sharing your personal story. You most certainly are beyond perfect. My goodness are you certain that this was your first podcast? Thank you so much for all that you do.
Thank you Ashley :) Well, if I'm to be perfectly honest, this was my first podcast that aired publicly. I did do one prior but it did not see the light of day. Was it something I said? I'm not sure - I should go back and ask this very question.
All to say thank you for listening to it. I was quiet nervous. Still am doing these pulic things. But, in some ways, they matter.
@Dr. Bronce Rice, you ? Nervous? I must have missed that moment, because I was so engolved in what you were sharing. By the way FYI I had to fire my psychiatrist a couple of days ago and that was rather sad. But I was very inferiorated with him because I was 5 minutes away from a Cardiac arrest. Because he had prescribed two meds that should have never even put in one sentence. But please, if you have (No Rush) time please call me. Because my trust issue with therapy came to a creeching halt.
Hi Ashley - I’m sorry to hear about that. That sounds scary. I’m not trained in the area of meds and wouldn’t be able to consult in that area. Also, I’m at work at the moment. You might try calling your insurance company to see about getting a consultation with another psychiatrist. Meds are a tricky business. I get how important it is to get someone you trust.
You are absolutely correct about the meds., and my trust in receiving anymore therapy. But what I'm trying to accomplish is,
I don't have anyone to share my own feelings and emotions, so, I usually have a habit of shutting down and everyone around me.
So. I don't want to pack those away and let them stack up. Until the lid, blows up. If you do have any suggestions for me, whenever you are free. I would sincerely appreciate your help.
I had such a conversation with my father recently. My therapist Mel suggested doing so. I cracked a small wry smile and asked if he knew my father. He did the same and said why yes you’ve told me all about him. lol
For me, it was I wanted to be able to speak my truth without shutting my mouth or running away or being so confused I didn’t know what to think let alone say. I needed to say it respectfully in relation to myself first and foreost but also in relation to my father. To his credit he listened. I don’t think he liked it but I told him if we were to have a better relationship I needed to say it.
We are all different and so we all have different ways of going about getting our needs met if we can. I’m just trying to deal with my anxieties in life a bit differently. A bit more calmly, (at moments at least) and lived out differently than I did when I was young. Not completely different mind you. Just dealing with my personality and temperment a bit more actively :)
