Stephanie Bird and Josh went to the same elementary school, the same middle school, the same high school.
They grew up in the same small neighborhood. And they never really knew each other past a surface level.
Stephanie was the kid everything was "okay" for. The one who could truck through anything. The mediator, the comforter, the one her parents looked to to get a smile on their face. That was a burden to carry.
This one gets into what it costs to be that kid. Growing up in a house where mental health struggles ran through the family and nobody had the language for it. Going into survival mode before she was old enough to name it.
